Class Overview

Our Tots Combination program is designed for young performers ages 3–6. Each class introduces the basics of ballet, tap, and creative movement in a fun, age-appropriate format that keeps little ones engaged from start to finish.

Through music, imaginative play, and simple choreography, children develop coordination, rhythm, listening skills, and classroom confidence — all while building a love for dance that can last a lifetime.

The Curriculum

Tot Dance

A playful introduction to movement for young performers, blending basic ballet, tap, acting & modeling to build coordination, rhythm, and confidence.

Combination Format

Each class touches on ballet, tap, acting & modeling — perfect for busy families who want exposure to multiple styles.

Creative Movement

Students explore music, imagery, and props while developing motor skills, listening, and classroom readiness in a fun, supportive environment.

Available Dance Classes

Ballet

Misty Copeland style of dance. Classical ballet is taught in the Cecchetti method based on techniques that focus on fast footwork, clean lines, and smooth transitions between positions.

Jazz

Jazz dance combines sharp, energetic movements with dynamic musicality, blending technique, rhythm, and performance flair across a range of styles from Broadway to contemporary.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is ballet fused with modern and jazz, incorporating African and Japanese movement.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop dance is structured street dance primarily performed to hip hop music but not limited to a wide range of contemporary music.

Modern Dance

Modern Dance is taught when we fuse ballet with jazz and contemporary dance techniques to create fluid choreography.

Tap

Tap dance is using your feet like drums. Dancers wear special shoes with metal taps to make syncopated percussive instruments with their feet.

Majorette

High-energy baton-style performance training to the stage.

Acting

Acting classes build confidence, stage presence, and storytelling skills through scene work, improvisation, voice, and character development for young performers.

Modeling

Modeling & Etiquette training teaches posture, poise, runway technique, and social etiquette to help performers shine on and off the stage.

Dress Code

Comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing is best for our youngest dancers.

  • Girls — black or pink leotard with black, pink, or skin-toned tights.
  • Boys — black jogging pants and a fitted t-shirt.
  • Shoes — ballet and tap shoes; please label all items with your child's name.
